1. Pour 1 3/4 cups flour and 4 oz butter into mixing bowl
2. Cut butter into flour until it looks like fine bread crumbs
3. Add 6oz sugar, baking powder, and fruit. Mix well.
4. Beat egg and vanilla in separated bowl and add to flour mixture. Mix to a stiff dough.
5. Place dough in little heaps onto greased baking tray.
6 .Bake for 20 - 25 minutes at 350F.

Apple crumble

- 3-4 Bramley cooking apples
- 100g granulated sugar
- 150g plain flour (also works well with gluten-free flour)
- 75g salted butter, softened

- If you're planning to cook it straight after preparing, preheat the oven to 180C/350F/gas 4. If you want, however, you can make the crumble beforehand, and cook it later.
- First, you need to prepare the apples. Half fill a large saucepan with water, and peel, core and chop the apples into 1-2cm chunks. Place them in the saucepan to stop them from ruining.
- Drain all of the water from the saucepan, add another 2 tbsp of water and 50g of the sugar, and place on a medium heat on the hob. Stew until the apples become mushy. Once mushy, put the apples into an ovenproof dish.
- Place the flour and the remaining sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the butter and use your hands to mix everything together until the mixture resembles large breadcrumbs. Pour this evenly on top of the stewed apple.
- If you are making the crumble in advance, cover it with cling film and allow to cool to room temperature before placing in the fridge. When ready to cook, place the crumble in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes. Don't worry if the crumble doesn't looked cooked properly, it most likely is! Eat hot from the oven.
Fruit salad

- Fruit of your choice (4 different fruits)
- 1 small carton of fruit juice

- Get the chopping board out and place on a damp dish cloth
- Get the medium sized bowl out and a sharp knife
- Chop each type of fruit into even pieces and place in plastic container
- Pour the fruit juice over the fruit and stir it with a large metal spoon
- Finally eat and enjoy
Chocolate chip cookies

- 75g butter
- 75g sugar
- 1 egg
- 150g self raising flout
- 100g chocolate chips
Steps
- Preheat to 180c/gas mark 4
- Cream butter and sugar in a mixing bowl with a wooden spoon until they are thick and creamy
- Beat the egg with a fork in a small bowl or measuring jug then add to the creamed mixture
- Gently fold back the flour with chocolate chips
- Place a heaped dessert spoon of the mixture on to the baking tray, leaving space for cookies to spread
- Bake in oven for 10-15 minutes until there golden brown and just firm
- Finally eat and enjoy
